• German Unity Day’ is celebrated  every year on 3 October.

• ‘Navratri’ (Navratri 2024) , the 9-day festival of worship of Goddess Durga, has begun with religious fervour from October 03.

•  Israel has banned  United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres from entering the country.

• Claudia Sheinbaum has been sworn in as the country’s first woman president in Mexico.

• The Nagaland Government has selected Wales as one of the partner countries for the upcoming 25th edition of the  ‘Hornbill Festival’ .

• The Indian Navy’s annual top-level international conference, ‘Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue 2024’ will be held from 3 October to 5 October in New Delhi.

•  The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has increased the wages of spinners by 25 per cent and those of loom operators by 7 per cent from October 2.

•  Eminent artist ‘ Lakshman Shrestha’ will be honoured with ‘Late Vasudev Gaitonde Lifetime Achievement Award’ by the Maharashtra Government.

• The ‘World Green Economy Forum’ has been launched in Dubai from 02 October.

• Recently the 17th meeting of the India-Germany Military Cooperation Sub-Group was held in Berlin.

• The 26th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition 2024 began on 01 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

• Police and Rajiv Gandhi University in Arunachal Pradesh have signed an agreement in Itanagar on the occasion of ‘Gandhi Jayanti”. Under this agreement, ‘Annie’s Home -A Healing Centre for Trauma Victims’ will be established.
