Interview for Contractual Appointment of Additional Director, Extension Education
Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, invites applications from interested candidates for the contractual position of Additional Director, Extension Education. This opportunity is open to individuals retired from State Government, Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings, ICAR, or SAUs.

Essential:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, or Forestry, followed by a Doctorate in a relevant field.
2. 10 years of teaching and/or research experience, with at least 5 years in a responsible position.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of socio-economic conditions in tribal areas.
4. Minimum score as per Academic Performance Indicator (API) for direct recruitment of Professors.
Desirable:
1. Evidence of leadership and achievements in extension and organization.
Terms & Conditions
Appointment Duration: Initial appointment for 6 months, extendable based on requirements as per Jharkhand State Agricultural University Act, 2000.
Posting: Candidates may be posted to any university college/unit.
Modification Rights: The university reserves the right to modify the number of posts and fill/not fill positions without explanation.
Remuneration: Fixed monthly payment as per the relevant government resolution.
Temporary Engagement: Appointment is temporary and can be terminated with one month’s notice from either side.
Resignation Notice: Candidates must provide one month’s advance notice; failure to do so may result in forfeiture of last month’s remuneration.
Travel Expenses: No TA/DA will be provided for joining.
Reservation: Candidates claiming reservation must submit a self-attested caste certificate from a competent authority.
