• Every year on 4 October ‘World Animal Welfare Day’ is celebrated all over the world.

•  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the  ‘ Kautilya Economic Conference’ in New Delhi on October 4. Let us tell you that the third edition of this conference will run till October 6.

•  Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment ‘ Shobha Karandlaje’ will chair the 6th Regional Meeting with North Eastern States on October 4, 2024 in Guwahati.

•  India, Nepal and Bangladesh have signed a tripartite agreement to export 40 MW of power from Nepal to Bangladesh through India’s ‘ Power Grid’ .

•  The ‘3rd National Floor Curling Championship’ began on 4 October at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Puducherry.

•  The Union Cabinet chaired by PrimeMinister Narendra Modi has approved granting classical language status to Marathi, Pali, Prakrit, Assamese and Bengali languages.

•  Under the ‘ Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana’, the Central Government has established 13,822 Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the country till September 30 this year.

•  The Supreme Court has struck down  the caste-based discriminatory provisions in the prison manuals of several states for the allocation of work to prisoners.
