The State Health Society Bihar (SHS Bihar) has officially released a recruitment notification for 2619 vacancies for the post of Ayush Doctor. This is a great opportunity for medical graduates with degrees in BAMS, BUMS, or BHMS to work under the Bihar government’s health sector.

The online application process will begin on 26th May 2025 from 10:00 AM onwards. The last date to apply online is 15th June 2025 till 6:00 PM. Interested candidates are advised to visit the official website shs.bihar.gov.in to apply and check further updates.

The application fee for General, BC, EBC, and EWS candidates is Rs. 500. For SC, ST, PH (Divyang), and all Female candidates, the fee is Rs. 125. Candidates from outside Bihar will also have to pay Rs. 500 as the application fee.

In terms of eligibility, candidates must have a degree in Ayurveda (BAMS), Unani (BUMS), or Homeopathy (BHMS) from a recognized institution. The minimum age required is 21 years as of 1st August 2024. The maximum age limit varies by category – for General (Male) and EWS (Male) candidates, it’s 37 years; for BC, EBC (Male and Female), and EWS (Female), it’s 40 years; and for SC/ST (Male and Female), the maximum age limit is 42 years.

As per the official notification (Advertisement No. 05/2025), the monthly salary for the selected candidates will be Rs. 32,000.

The recruitment is divided across three streams under the Ayush Doctor category:

• Ayurvedic Doctors – 1411 vacancies

• Unani Doctors – 502 vacancies

• Homeopathic Doctors – 706 vacancies
